About Moto B.R.A.T.'s Founder
Thanks for visiting Moto B.R.A.T. Women's Riding Academy! I am glad you are here.
My name is Debbie Foege and I am the Founder and Chief Riding Coach for Moto B.R.A.T. I have been riding for 16 years, but I have been passionate about motorcycles all my life for as long as I can remember. I actually started riding scooters when I was 10 years old, riding my older brothers 1978 Honda Express 50cc moped. When I was 13, somehow I talked my parents into letting me buy a 1984 Honda Spree, which I rode for 3 years before getting my drivers license and losing interest real fast. But I never gave up my desire to ride a motorcycle. As I entered my 20's, I had the bug really bad, But at 25, I had moved back home to live with my parents so I could afford go back to school at night while I worked full time. My Mom's rule was no motorcycles while I lived under her roof. I finally finished my second degree and moved out once again. And it didn't take long for me to enroll in a motorcycle training class and become a fully endorsed motorcyclist. By the time I turned 32, I had my motorcycle license and my very first motorcycle. It was a 2003 Honda Shadow ACE 750. It was red and I LOVED that bike more than life itself. I have been riding ever since and throughout this time, I have owned four other motorcycles. A 2002 Suzuki Volusia 800, a 1983 Honda CX 650 Custom, a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic, and a 2015 Suzuki Boulevard C50T, which I currently ride. Of course these bikes are in addition to the three training motorcycles that I own and teach ladies to ride on.
I decided to start this business because of my absolute love and passion for motorcycling, but also for my intense desire to promote safe motorcycling and to support and encourage others, especially women, to get out and ride, helping them gain the confidence and empowerment that goes along with riding your own! I bumped into so many women who wanted to learn to ride, but had so many misconceptions and limiting beliefs. Some of them had tried to learn, but didn't pass the MSF course and were ready to give up until they found Moto B.R.A.T. Others came to me to learn, as they were intimidated by starting off at the MSF class with no experience at all. But whatever the reason you decide to learn with Moto B.R.A.T., you can guarantee you will receive the best in class motorcycle training, delivered with patience, kindness and expertise.
We’re committed to providing the highest quality motorcycle training focused on giving the skills and confidence you need to ride your own ride. So if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, learn a new skill and create a new life and new friends.
